Activities

General

Every year the RPPC organises a large number of events for its members. The work of the RPPC is aimed at promotional activities with the objective of maintaining and increasing cargo flows through the port of Rotterdam and of supporting the local transport logistics and maritime industry. Personal contact between members and target groups plays an important part here. Activities also depend on developments in the market and on the requirements of the RPPC's members.

Core activities

• Organising promotional trips, to both existing and promising markets and to growing markets to highlight the port of Rotterdam for shippers and logistics services providers there. During these meetings, RPPC members can meet existing and potential business contacts. The RPPC takes care of the invitations, the travelling arrangements, the accommodation and the programme.
• Organising business receptions in the port of Rotterdam. This programme is aimed at general target groups on the one hand and specialist target groups on the other, e.g. a delegation of shippers from a particular region.
• Organising group participation in national and international trade fairs. In those sector-oriented 'market places', the RPPC enables members to present themselves as a company and as part of Mainport Rotterdam at a relatively low cost.

Other activities

• Organising networking meetings and quarterly meetings.
• Organising large-scale events for the purpose of customer relations management, including the World Port Meeting and the Rotterdam Portholes International golf tournament.
• Port Safaris, guided business tours through the port of Rotterdam on behalf of members and business contacts of the port.
• Publishing the Rotterdam Port Information Yearbook with relevant information about companies and authorities involved with the port of Rotterdam.
• Publishing the RPPC Bulletin which includes information about new members, reports of activities, member news and the annual programme of events.
• Articles about the RPPC and its members in Mainport News.

Special Projects

Individuele dienstverlening voor donateurs. De RPPC ontwikkelt en organiseert diverse bedrijfsevenementen voor haar donateurs tegen marktconform tarief.
