Anniversary Spring Festival

The very first pleasant spring day of 2008 saw the RPPC organise its Spring Festival in Rotterdam's Kralingse Bos park. The event also marked the start of activities to celebrate the RPPC's 75th anniversary. Part of the field close to the beach was cordoned off and adorned with marquees and a large podium.

One of the marquees featured an extensive offering of food and drinks while others offered a range of children's entertainment. Activities included making little pancakes, face painting, a colouring competition and much more. The large podium was the venue for a street dance clinic, open to everyone. In the afternoon there were performances by Lisa, Amy and Shelly, the Netherland's entry for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and the hugely popular band Ch!pz. The event proved to be one big party for young and old, attracting 110 children and 160 adults. A full photograpic report of the event can be viewed on the website MainPort Events.
